The Launch Planting Cohort is the fourth piece in our journey of training. It is for those people who are preparing to plant a church. Church planters will form cohorts who will learn together and engage in the planting steps towards planting. There will be support from the Vineyard whānau by way of prayer, church planting team members, and experienced coaches to walk alongside.

• Anyone who senses a call to plant a church in the Vineyard movement, and wants to start it that process
• People who have been part of the ALC and are moving towards planting a church.
• People who have been developing their heart and skill in a key ministry area (such as children and youth, worship, operations, compassion ministry etc.) who are ready to join a launch team to serve in this area.
• People who are ready for the missional adventure of moving to a new place to be part of a church planting team.
• People who are preparing to step into senior leadership in an existing church

We want to hold a space for those who are interested in planting a church and to seek the Lord together on how he is leading us to multiply. Launch will:

• Provide a clear series of supported steps towards planting a church.
• Share key knowledge areas for church leaders such as: call to ministry, knowing where and how to plant, vision mission and values in action, team leadership and culture, structures that serve multiplication, strategic planning, governance and finances.
• Form cohorts who are on a similar journey to pray for and support each other towards planting.
• Involve the whole Vineyard whanau in sending out leaders who can multiply leaders and plant churches that plant churches.

1. After considering and identifying a call to plant, register your interest on the website along with the endorsement of a pastor.
2. You will then be invited into a conversation with one of the Launch Team about who you are and your story to reach this point.
3. We will have some useful introductory assessments and helpful discernment tools for you to use as you consider your call to church plant.
4. The final step will be joining the Launch Planting Cohort.
