2026 Uganda Trip Promo

Join us in 2026 as we head to Uganda!

Discipleship, Health, Therapy

Home of Hope is a home for children with multiple disabilities. 97 precious children live there with a support team caring for them. We will be spending time caring for children, supporting staff, and taking part in daily village life. We will also be encouraging the children and staff in their faith and helping with planting a church onsite and establishing discipleship groups.

Next door there is the Derrick and Emily Memorial Medical Centre where we will be serving in many roles including supporting medical staff, stocking the pharmacy, praying for patients, serving at a weekly drop in clinic for children with disabilities in the community, visiting families in their homes and, for those who have specialist medical, dental and therapy knowledge, encouraging and developing our staff of doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists and lab technicians.

We will also spend time with the young disabled adults who have moved into their own homes in the community, helping them with their next steps in living an independent life.

For those who want to help in a practical way there are many trades needed. We are also currently building a maternity wing to the hospital. Other practical tasks involve caring for animals, being the ambulance and school bus driver and, there is always cooking and washing to do.

Worship Encounter Retreat

On our trip we plan to run a retreat for youth in encountering the presence of God and moving in the gifts of the Spirit. Many different groups come to the Worship Encounter House each week. We are so excited to be leading a retreat with a group of youth we have been working with since they were children!

Discipleship and Income Generating Groups

We will visit 5 different discipleship groups out in small villages. These groups work together to disciple and help people (mostly women) to grow in faith, to build the family / community relationships and to start and run small businesses. We will attend the weekly group meetings and work alongside the Community Workers to love and serve these women. There will also be some home / business visits and opportunity for prayer and encouragement.
